Here we go

I have never had to create a blog for a course but it makes sense that for a course about integrating technology into education I would need to. I am a little overwhelmed by the layout of the course in that it does not follow a more traditional model where you read a chapter and then respond to it and then repeat that pattern. However, I am energized to learn more. I found the initial video, 'Pay Attention', illuminating. Particularly the quote from a high school student saying they had learned to "Play School". I feel that this is a very strong sentiment that should scare teachers. If a student is able to look at a course and realize they can simply study hard for one or two days and then coast you are teaching them poor life skills.
